In the latest episode of his It Is What It Is podcast, Camron opened up about his complicated relationship with Dipset member Jim Jones. The Harlem rapper made no bones about it, revisiting their origins and accusing Jones of misrepresenting his history in the band and Harlem roots. VideoCam'ron first responded to Jones' statement that he and the Dipset team grew up together in Harlem. He refuted the claims, saying: “You're a fan, nigga. You begged us. You didn't grow up with us.” “I'm from the 140 and Lennox in the NFL, 40 from the Wolves. It's only a block away. I don't remember seeing you around here,” Camron said, making it clear that he felt Jones inserted himself into the Harlem narrative after the fact. Camron went on to explain how Jim Jones became a part of Dipset and credited Mays with teaching Jones how to rap. “Metz actually sits you down and shows you how to rap,” Cam said. He revealed that Jones was initially brought into the group because he was seen as “a nice guy” and had a free crib for them to hang out with. Cam asserted. We created you. The discussion turned to Jones' history of reconciling with people he's had conflicts with, including C. Gutta, Tru Life and French Montana. Cameron expressed doubts about Jones attending the movie premiere, where he was allegedly insulted. “You Sitting in a crowd watching them insult you in a movie? Camron also recounted an incident in which Jones tried to pressure Minor early in his career, only for the rapper to stand his ground. Now, the two are collaborators with Lobby Boyz. Despite Camron's interference with Jones, he clarified that he had no ill will toward Jones' settlement. “I think it’s cool that you get along with everyone,” he said. However, he criticized Jones for continuing to anger those who showed him true love.
