A few days before Wisconsin’s High Supreme Court election, state Attorney General Josh Kaul took Elon Musk to court, blocking the planned $2 million giveaway Musk announced on social media. Musk made the first announcement on X (formerly Twitter) Thursday night, saying he would hand over the money to someone who had voted in court games himself. Musk deleted the post a few hours later and then clarified it, saying the money will actually be donated to those who support the online petition, not necessarily voters. He also said Sunday activities will be limited to petitions, not just voters. Kaur's lawsuit points to the changing nature of the Musk incident and says no official cancellation has been made. He hopes the court will now or in the future distribute Musk to Wisconsin voters.
