Van Leeuwen celebrates love languages with new Valentine's Day ice cream flavor

Whether your love language is physical touch or acts of service, Van Leeuwen has the perfect pint for you. The ice cream company has launched five new flavors inspired by Dr. Gary Chapman's “The Five Love Languages,” available exclusively at Kroger stores during Valentine's Day. The five love languages—gift giving, words of affirmation, physical touch, quality time, and acts of service—Chapman introduced the concept in his 1990s book to help people better understand their relationship. More than 30 years later, they remain a cultural touchstone, and fans are still being tested to discover their dominant love languages. Van Leeuwen translates these love languages into delicious frozen treats: Hug Me Hazelnut Truffle (Physical Touch): A creamy blend of hazelnut ice cream topped with chunks of chocolate truffle for a rich, nutty flavor. You Are My Brown Sugar Cookie Butter (Words of Affirmation): Brown sugar ice cream is blended with rich and delicious cookie butter to make you cherish every scoop. Chocolate Strawberry Surprise (Gift-Giving): Sweet cream ice cream studded with chocolate chips and topped with strawberry jam is a classic Valentine's Day treat.
