U.S. Olympian Fred Klee was tased and arrested during a violent confrontation with Miami Beach police. Video camera footage released by the Miami Beach Police Department captured the tense Jan. 2 confrontation. Klee was directed to go around the police scene while trying to reach a nearby vehicle. The situation escalated into a heated argument that resulted in a physical altercation. Police tackled the athlete to the ground, used a Taser and charged him with assault, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct. Klee's girlfriend DJ Sky High Baby shared another angle from the incident, showing an officer mercilessly beating the 29-year-old on the ground. Former NFL star quarterback Robert Griffin III condemned the arrest on Twitter, calling it “complete overuse.” “The same Fred Klee, who just won a bronze medal in the 100 meters with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
