The court battle is underway after the Trump administration violated a federal judge’s request to bring back an El Salvadorian deported, despite a permanent court order being banned. The Gang Supreme Court weighed the trade-offs last week, but the government does not seem to move. In a seven-page legal submission, the Justice Department attorney told U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis that any effort to retrieve Abrego Garcia would constitute “forced diplomacy” and violated another country’s sovereignty, which they said was not needed by the U.S. courts. ICE and State Department officials did not comply with the judge's daily updates on efforts to return to Garcia. One person said, “No update.” According to Politico, another confirmed Garcia is still alive in El Salvador's high security CECOT prison. It now appears that the Trump administration has shown a firm refusal to take action to put Garcia in the case of Limbo and courts without law enforcement.
