Teens set fire outside Congressman Glenn Grossman's office to protest TikTok ban

A Wisconsin teen allegedly set fire to Republican Rep. Glenn Grothman's Fond du Lac office early Sunday to protest a TikTok ban, authorities reported. Police arrested the 19-year-old suspect, who admitted to setting the fire, saying it was “in response to recent discussions about a TikTok ban.” The office was unoccupied at the time and was damaged, but no injuries were reported. The suspect, a Menasha resident, is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on arson charges and is expected to face additional charges. Local authorities and the District Attorney's Office are investigating the incident. The TikTok ban, enacted by Congress and taking effect on Sunday, has sparked controversy among the app's 170 million U.S. users. However, Donald Trump stepped in, promising to sign an executive order giving the app more time to negotiate with the government.
