T-Mobile is preparing to allocate $350 million to customers affected by its 2021 data breach, which hurts the personal information of approximately 76 million people. What happened? What happened? The vulnerability executed by Turkey American Hacker John Binns was that it happened to him after he exploited the wrong Internet-style Internet router, thus gaining access to the t-Mobile network. Sensitive data, including name, social security number and date of birth, were exposed in the attack. Qualified recipients must file a claim by the deadline of January 23, 2023. The claimant must be a T-Mobile customer at the time of the data breach on August 16, 2021 and expose its information. To receive a maximum payment of $25,000, the claimant is required to submit out-of-pocket expenses that prove to be out of pocket in connection with the breach, such as credit monitoring or fraud-related fees. Those without documents may still get a smaller payment of $25, or $100 for California residents. According to the latest news on the T-Mobile data breach settlement website, scheduled spending is scheduled to begin in 2025.
