Quinta Brunson is ending her marriage. Abbott Elementary School creator and star have formally applied for divorce from husband Kevin Jay Anik, citing “irreconcilable differences.” According to court documents, Brunson filed a petition on March 19, 2025 and listed its separation date as TBD. The winning actress also noted that the couple reached a post-nuptial agreement to process their assets and required each party to cover their own legal fees. Brunson kept her private relationship until her 2022 Emmy Awards speech, where she kept publicly confirming her marriage, where she called it “the most supportive person I've ever known.” Later, she once again expressed her gratitude to him in the 2023 Golden Globes victory. Brunson and Anik ended in October 2021. Neither of them publicly commented on divorce applications.
