An auction of a flame-hot Cheeto (known as “Cheetozard”) in the shape of Charizard sold $87,840, proving once again that the internet will pay a huge amount of money for rare and ridiculous discoveries. With 60 bids, the price surged to $72,000 and the final fee was considered in Goldin's buyer premium, which was priced under $88,000. The New Jersey-based auction house announced the sale on social media, triggering different reactions from fans. Some people can’t believe that someone will put this cash in a spicy snack, while others find the humor in it. One joked, “If I were on a death row, I hope this was my last meal.” Another added, “What’s wrong with people?” Meanwhile, Cheetos’ official account simply commented that “Cheetozard” has been on the waves for years, first discovered and preserved by Georgia’s collection stores between 2018 and 2022. After the launch in April 2024, rare snacks caught the attention of Pokémon fans and collectors.
