Pharrell Williams and his digital auction house introduce a new series to honor designer Kim Jones. Williams' platform Joopiter is celebrating Jones' artistry after recently resigning as creative director of Dior Men. The series is titled “The World of Kim Jones” and contains a sample and prototype of Jones' outstanding career. From Louis Vuitton to Fendi and Dior, the auction includes some of his most iconic collaboration archives. One of the outstanding works comes from the Dior and Amoako Boafo partnership. It is estimated that the unique cashmere blanket is between $2,000 and $3,000. Collectors will also have the opportunity to bid for the Dior X Nike Air Jordan 1 High Sweaker, which is expected to bring in a high $20,000. Other iconic pieces include Dior X Travis Scott Tan Leather Double Maddle Bag, the unique runway embroidered shirt of Dior X Kenny Scharf and Louis Vuitton X Suepreme Monogram Carpet, which could make $9,000. The auction will be held online from February 27 to March 11, and the entire catalog will be previewed on February 26. A portion of the proceeds will support the World Land Trust (WLT), an international conservation charity dedicated to the protection of endangered UN-Habitat. Jones left Dior in January 2025 after seven years as Dior's male artistic director. The British designer's final collection was on display at Paris Fashion Week Men's A/W 2025. Prior to his tenure with Dior, Jones served as the ready-made art director for men’s clothing from 2011 to 2018 at Louis Vuitton. Like this: Like Loading: Discover more from ballerina wallerscribe.
