Pharrell Williams’ highly anticipated live-action biopic Golden has been closed permanently in post-production. Originally titled “Atlantis”, the film is directed by Michel Gondry and features A-rated actors including Kelvin Harrison Jr. , Halle Bailey and Brian Tyree Henry. But, as Variety reports, “Gold” will not be released after a “consistent agreement” between Gondry, Williams and filmmakers, including Mimi Wald Mimi Valdes and Gil Netter. The film was cancelled after it was filmed. The film has a $20 million budget and was originally scheduled for May Releases on the 5th, but fans on social media expressed frustration at the cancellation, which lost the potential of the film. Last year, Williams’ animated biopic “Parts” received positive reviews, for Golden expectations have been further improved.
