The NFL is updating its rulebook ahead of the new season – a memo sent to all 32 teams this week, and the league has officially added the “nose wipe” gesture to its banned celebration list. The updated rules classify it as “non-are-like behavior” and place it with other “violent gestures” such as throat slashes, simulated gun movements, or any sexually suggestive behavior. Now a 15-yard fine will be issued to any player using the on-field move. https://t.co/rn0oliwbb4- ceedee Lambs (@_ceedeethree) March 26, 2025 March 26, 2025 Cowboys wide receiver ceedee ceedee lamb, who often uses the move after big games, gave a brief response on X (formerly Twitter) (formerly Twitter): To balance the player's expression with the situation of Sportsmanike-like behavior on the scene.
