Michelle Obama is talking about speculation about her marriage to former President Barack Obama. When appearing on a podcast by Sophia Bush, the former First Lady posted recent rumors that she and Barack were heading for a divorce. After Michelle clearly did not conduct some high-profile activities, including the inauguration of Donald Trump and the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter. “They have to assume that my husband and I are divorced,” she said, noting that if not misunderstood, the woman simply says no. That's what we as women struggle with – disappointing people,” she said. “If it doesn't fit the stereotype of what people think we should do, it's labeled as a negative thing. She said she was using this time to focus on herself and why she still cared about, such as the education of girls. After a few months of speculation, the comments were posted, but Michelle made it clear that her time should not be seen as a sign of relationship issues. Instead, it was life after the White House – in her own terminology.
