Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill threatens a legal lawsuit against rapper Boosie Barazz in connection with the name of Caleb Wilson and the scholarship fund. Wilson's parents objected to their son's name being used to promote the upcoming Boosie Bash rap festival, saying they didn't know about Connection. The festival features artists such as Glorilla and Dababy and will raise funds for scholarships, which Boosie claims will support students. Wilson, a student at Southern University and a trumpet player on human jukebox, died after a bullying incident involving the Omega PSI PHI fraternity, which attracted widespread attention and vigil. Now parents ask for all references to the son’s name, image and promotional materials scholarship. Murrill stressed that the family was impressed by Boosie, who was donating to an existing scholarship fund instead of starting with her son’s name. She criticized the situation as a “massive misrepresentation” and vowed to take legal action to promote a for-profit campaign “investigation of his name.”
