Lil Durk trial date delayed, at least one co-defendant seeks plea deal

Lil Durk's murder-for-hire trial in Los Angeles is currently scheduled for a new trial on October 14, 2025, which has been pushed back from the original trial date of January 7, 2025. According to court reporter Meghann Cuniff, the discovery process was extensive, with prosecutors disclosing approximately 230 gigabytes of digital evidence. This includes a mix of audio and video recordings, as well as surveillance footage that could play a key role in the trial. Additionally, there are approximately 20,000 pages of reports detailing acts of violence, witness statements, medical records and photographs that are expected to impact the case. Deandre Dontrell Wilson's attorneys recently requested a “pre-plea report” to determine Wilson's criminal history category under the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines. Judge Michael Fitzgerald ordered the report to be prepared on Dec. 27, suggesting possible moves toward resolving Wilson's issues outside of a full trial. Duke was detained on October 17 near Miami International Airport. Authorities say he orchestrated the attack on rapper Quando Rondo in retaliation for Von Von King's murder.
