Keefe D files motion to dismiss charges in Tupac Shakur case

Keefe D isn’t giving up. With $750,000 bail beyond his means, he has now filed a motion to dismiss all charges related to Tupac Shakur's murder. His attorney, Carl EG Arnold, argued that the case was dragging on for too long, hurting Keefe's chances of a fair trial. “Unreasonable delays can result in blurred memories, dead or missing witnesses, and lost or destroyed physical evidence,” Arnold said, noting that authorities are still relying on outdated information from 2009. He claimed the case was “irreversibly invalid” and that Keefe D's rights had been violated. The motion even lays out an alleged 2008 proposed agreement in which Keefe D. allegedly cooperated with a federal task force in exchange for immunity. According to the agreement, Keefe D admitted to driving the white Cadillac involved in the shooting and passing the gun into the back seat. Although past attempts have failed, Keefe D and his legal team are still trying to push for this dismissal. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 21, where Judge Carli Kierny will hear their arguments.
