A woman who previously accused Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter of sexual assault heard the sexual assault in a newly surfaced recording, admitting that the rapper did not beat her. The lawsuit against Jay-Z has since been withdrawn due to bias, meaning it cannot be considered. Looking at the excerpts of recordings obtained by ABC News, the woman was identified as Jane Doe, telling two people about Carter's MTV video music award when she was 13 years old. However, in the recording, Jane Doe also claimed that her attorney Tony Buzbee “motivated” her to include Jay-Z in the lawsuit. Mr. Carter did not do so. It was actually a lie, and the only reason Mr. Carter even got involved was because she was forced to get him involved. Jane Doe also issued a statement saying she insisted on her original claims but withdrew the lawsuit due to “fear of Jay-Z’s intimidation and retaliation.” Buzbee said in a statement. She also denied being forced by Buzbee and said investigators felt “intimidation and fear” when approaching.
