A woman knows what she wants and is not afraid to pursue it. She saw someone she was interested in, moved, liked to date without wanting anyone serious. Maybe she even had more than one person rotation. Let her be a ho-head? Society has long embraced the double standards of men and women in the dating world. Some of our favorite athletes, entertainers and businessmen openly live this lifestyle. Some are even in a firm relationship but are still entertaining other women. But when men do this, they are called players. Expected. It's just “boys are boys”. But when a woman does the same thing, she will suffer from judgment, side-eyes and labels when she is ready to settle down. Why are women judged more severely? The stigma of dating around women is freely rooted in the outdated belief in femininity, purity, pure, pure material, what wife material is. “What does that mean.” A person with a longer partner is often seen as experienced, ideal, and even powerful. A woman with the same history? She was questioned, criticized or considered unworthy of commitment. Even if she just dates and has fun, men tend to take on the worst. If she is around a certain group of people or has a history of multiple men, some people will think she has slept with half of them. The real question is, can men separate facts from novels? Even if she dates a lot, is a man mature enough to go beyond her past and focus on who she is now? Men want freedom, but not because you are real. Many men actually don't have the problem of women dating. Their real problem is when it's a woman they are interested in. Suddenly, body counting is important. Suddenly, she “uses it out”. Suddenly, the woman is “too emotional” to handle casual relationships. But the truth is, most men are not worried about how many men she is with. They care more about who the man is and whether they measure it. The thought of girlfriends being with someone they know, or worse, people they think are “better” than them does really bother them. If you want to have a casual date, do it. If you want to maintain a relationship, then do that too. Just make sure you are in a way that aligns with your values and the way that makes you happy. As long as you are safe, honest and authentic, no one else’s judgment determines your life. Bottom line women explore, date, date people as right as enjoying life. If men can do this, why do you have to make different judgments about women? Live according to your conditions. Will some people label you? perhaps. But remember, if you are a hog, so is he.
