
Authorities confirmed that social media influencer Summer Wheaton was arrested for a fatal DUI crash that killed a ride-hailing driver on the Pacific Coast Expressway in Malibu. She faces multiple charges, including mass murder while drunk, causing personal injury, with DUI having a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or more, causing personal injury, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The crash occurred on July 4, 2024, and Wheaton attended the exclusive White Party at around 10:30 p.m. after attending Hotspot, which is frequented by celebrities. Investigators said she was behind the steering wheel of a white Mercedes-Benz, which had a median middle on the PCH, crashed into a vehicle driven by ride-hailing driver Martin Okeke, who tragically killed his life in the collision. Her arrest warrant this week before Wheaton surrendered. She is still in custody.
