Harvard has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after the White House decided to freeze more than $2.2 billion in research funding related to Ivy League institutions. The lawsuit filed Monday in Massachusetts claims the funds stopped representing the government's excessive violations, which violated long-term legal protections. In a message to the university community, Harvard President Alan Garber said that government actions not only threaten Harvard’s actions, but also the broader national interest in health, science, science and security. The government recently asked Harvard to audit the political views and international students, and was considered “hostile to American values.” The government constitutes these demands as an effort to address anti-Semitism on campus. However, Harvard noted in its lawsuit that the cuts in funding have nothing to do with these concerns, but rather targeting core academic and scientific research that is not in campus speech or student ideology – “The government does not – cannot – cannot – cannot – cannot – determine anti-Semitism concerns and scientific research, as well as other research, and other research, are in scientific research, and technically speaking. “The government also does not admit that the indefinite freezing of billions of dollars of federal research funds will be on Harvard's research program, the beneficiaries of the study, and the national interest. “The lawsuit alleges that the lawsuit violates First Amendment and federal law and requires the court to announce the free religious committee that declares the funding free. Harvard University also demands that any freeze or termination of existing federal research funds be reversed immediately. The White House has not yet issued a public response to the lawsuit.
