Fyre Festival 2 has been postponed and organizers are accusing the Mexican government of sudden changes. The event, scheduled to be held at Playa del Carmen from May 30 to June 2, boldly announced the comeback of Billy McFarland, the enabler behind the 2017 Fyre Festival that failed in 2017. Tickets for the new festival are priced at $1,400 and promise to feature music, comedy, comedy, food and more. But a few days after Mexican officials publicly denied the event, organizers quietly informed the ticket seller that the festival was closed and a refund was issued. McFarland claimed that the government of Playa del Carmen obtained the currency, issued a license, and facilitated the activity, and then suddenly cut contact. He also shared screenshots and documents online to prove that Fyre organizers have worked with officials. Mexican authorities responded that no such activity was registered or allowed in the city or surrounding areas. Despite the setbacks, McFarlane said plans for Fyre Festival 2 will continue and new locations will be announced soon. Currently, the festival is once again shelved and surrounded by controversy.
