Fat Joe's life story will come down to Starz with the help of Barris, Kenya

Fat Joe will win the series based on his outstanding life, while Kenya Barris will help bring it to the TV screen. Starz is developing “Jose of Jose,” a script that chronicles the rise of Grammy-nominated hip-hop stars. The show will trace his 30-year career to his start on Bronx Street. Dominic Colón will be co-written with him. The pilot “Papi” of the Bronx-born writer is the top finalist on the blacklist Latinx TV list. Colón is a WGAE Performer Training Academy graduate in 2024 and recently worked on Netflix’s upcoming “The Corps.” As an actor, he appears on over 60 TV shows and movies, with upcoming characters in the HBO series “Tasks”. Executive producers include Joe, Barris, Colón, Jessy Terrero, who will also direct the show and E. Brian Dobbins. The series was produced through Barris' Khalabo Ink Society and artists.
