Acting Secretary of Labor Vince Micone announced a major policy change, issuing Secretary's Order 03-2025 to immediately cease all investigative and enforcement activities related to the now-rescinded Executive Order 11246. The directive applies generally to employees across the Department, including the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), the Office of Administrative Law Judges, and the Administrative Review Board. Executive Order 11246, originally signed in 1965, imposes nondiscrimination and affirmative action obligations on federal contractors. It serves as a cornerstone in promoting equal employment opportunity by ensuring that contractors adhere to diversity and anti-discrimination standards in hiring practices. The revocation of the executive order marks a major shift in federal labor policy.
