Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced plans to become a symbol of boycott during the 2020 racial justice protests, after Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) introduced a bill during the Trump administration, amid bold yellow letters near the White House, the update was part of a broader effort to mark the U.S. 250th birthday. She did not directly address Clyde's need to rename the website to “Free Square.” “The murals inspired millions and helped our city through painful times, but now we can’t be distracted by meaningless congressional interference, Bowser said, shifting the focus to the focus of economic concerns raised from federal work, with cuts proposed from federal work. If Bowser refuses, DC could only lose as much as $185 million in federal transportation funds this year, and in the coming years, more danger could be lost. Clyde, a staunch Trump supporter, called the Black Lives Matter Matter movement “radical.” As a result, Bowser has not confirmed whether she will comply with the proposed name Liberty Plaza. A spokesman declined to clarify her position.
