Damon Wayans accused the late Robin Williams of running away with other comedian material. On “Club Shay Shay”, Wayans described Williams as a “notorious” joke thief, recalling comedians often stealing material from others. Waynes shared that Williams’s manager would compensate those who were joked, offering $75 checks at a time. “Robin Williams is a notorious thief. I'm not lying,” Waines said. His manager once walked around with a checkbook and Robin would step down, 'Hey, he just took me there…', and he would just write him a check for $75. “According to Waynes's writing, this practice is well known, and some comedians will even avoid showing it from the perspective of Williams, and if it's a joke, he would still laugh at the joke. Just kidding, I'm going to tell me that I won't treat it that way,” he said. “You won't take my wife or my children. It's just a joke.” This is not the first time Williams' alleged theft was discussed. In 2017, comedians Richard Lewis and Robert Wuh, as well as Budd Friedman and Tripp Whitesell mentioned similar charges in verbal history. Joe Rogan also joined the conversation, claiming that Williams’ desire to “kill” on stage exceeded his moral considerations. “Killing is more important; filling the hole in his heart is more important than anything.
