Chris Brown sues 'History of Violence' documentary series, saying it's full of lies

Chris Brown is taking legal action against the producers of the Investigation Discovery documentary series Chris Brown: A History of Violence, accusing them of promoting defamatory statements and publishing false information about him. In newly filed court documents obtained by TMZ, the Grammy-winning singer claims Warner Bros. Discovery, Ample Entertainment and other individuals involved in the production ignored the facts and concocted a misleading narrative to damage his reputation. Brown is seeking $500 million in damages, claiming the documentary series had a significant impact on his career, business opportunities and public image. The singer said the project wrongly labeled him a “serial rapist and sexual abuser” despite saying there was clear evidence to refute the accusations. Claims against him. He claimed producers built the show around Jane Doe's lawsuit against him – which she later withdrew, claiming the accusations were baseless. Brown said the producers ignored the facts, choosing instead to focus on salacious and lurid accusations. “Despite evidence that their account was false, they continued to air the show,” the court documents read. Brown is seeking $500 million in damages, a portion of which he plans to donate to victims of sexual abuse. The singer argued that the producer put “fame and fortune” over the truth, choosing to exploit his name and past controversies for profit. This isn't the first time Chris Brown has fought back against public scrutiny, but his legal team says the case is about protecting his reputation and making sure false accusations go unchallenged.
