
The bullet narrowly missed the kid on the school bus when the gunfire broke out in the Bronx. Vedvides was forced to cover up because gunfire hit a bus near East 163rd Street and Morisania around 2:20 pm on Friday. The driver acted quickly and lasted half a mile to ensure the safety of the children. At least three bullets hit the bus – one broke the rear window and two hit the side. There are six students inside, a female nurse and driver on a school bus. Several media reported that buses were carrying students with special needs. Miraculously, no one was hurt. “He was scared of those kids,” said Jose Polanco, a colleague of the bus driver, ABC 7 New York 7 New York State. Authorized persons believe the bus was caught with four suspects, all wearing black and exchanging guns before hiking toward their footsteps. The police continued to search for the shooter. The chaotic scene unfolds near schools and playgrounds, prompting a 30-minute lockdown at a nearby educational institution. New York City Public Schools and the New York Police Department have not commented on the incident.
