Tish Cyrus isn't sugarcoating her divorce from country star Billy Ray Cyrus. In a new episode of her podcast, the matriarch of the Cyrus clan admitted that the collapse of her 29-year marriage sent her into a spiral.

"I was terrified," she confessed. "I didn't know who I was without him. And I'll be honest, I was self-medicating with weed just to get through the day."

The "Tragic" Split

Tish filed for divorce in April 2022, citing irreconcilable differences. While fans saw a strong woman moving on (and eventually marrying Dominic Purcell), the reality behind closed doors was much darker. "I couldn't eat. I couldn't sleep. It was tragic," she said.

A New Chapter

Thankfully, Tish seems to have come out the other side. Her relationship with her daughters, Miley and Noah, remains complicated (Noah notably skipped her wedding), but she says she is finally finding peace.
