Will the Merc with a Mouth ever return? Ryan Reynolds recently sat down to address the massive elephant in the room regarding his superhero future.
After dedicating a massive portion of his career to perfecting Deadpool, the actor admitted that the physical and creative stamina required for the character is immense.
Knowing When to Walk Away
"You never want to be the guy who stays at the party too long," Reynolds joked during the interview. "But it is genuinely hard to say goodbye to a character that feels so deeply ingrained in my DNA."
While he hasn’t officially announced a retirement from the role, he strongly emphasized his focus on original scripts and focusing heavily on his business ventures outside of acting.
A Lasting Legacy
Regardless of whether he dons the red suit again, Reynolds' impact on R-rated comic book movies is undisputed. He single-handedly proved that studios could take massive creative risks and still dominate the global box office.
