Connor Storrie Charms Seth Meyers with 'Heated Rivalry' Tales & Hockey Fails

If you haven't binged Heated Rivalry yet, you are officially living under a rock. The hockey romance drama has taken the world by storm, and its leading man, Connor Storrie, just proved he's as charming off-screen as he is on it.
Making his late-night debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Storrie looked dapper and surprisingly relaxed for someone who—by his own admission—had never been on live national television before. The interview was a masterclass in self-deprecation, immediately endearing him to the audience.
The "Hockey" Player
The biggest laugh of the night came when Seth asked about Storrie's hockey background. For a show that revolves around intense on-ice rivalries, one would expect the actors to be decent skaters. Not Storrie.
"I'm Canadian," Storrie deadpanned. "So everyone assumes I came out of the womb with skates on. The truth is, I can barely stand up. There is a lot of movie magic happening. A lot of stunt doubles. And a lot of me holding onto the boards for dear life."
He described a scene where he was supposed to aggressively check an opponent, but instead, he slipped, did a pirouette, and landed flat on his face. "They kept it in the blooper reel," he laughed. "It humbled me."
That Time Jump
The conversation inevitably turned to the show's steamy nature. Heated Rivalry is known for its intense chemistry between the leads. When discussing the sex scenes, Seth Meyers—ever the gentleman—joked about how they navigate discussing them on broadcast TV.
"We do time jumps," Seth suggested. "We just say, 'And then they went to the locker room... and then it was morning!'" Storrie played along brilliantly. "Exactly. Lots of high-fiving. Just intense... high-fiving."
Viral Fame
Storrie also touched on his sudden rise to fame. He mentioned that fans have dug up his old YouTube videos from when he was a teenager trying (and failing) to be a vlogger. Instead of being embarrassed, he's embracing it. "It's part of the lore now," he said. "If you can't laugh at your 14-year-old self with a bad haircut talking about Minecraft, you take yourself too seriously."

The chemistry between Storrie and Meyers was electric, suggesting this won't be the last time we see Storrie on the late-night circuit. You can catch the full interview on NBC or the Late Night YouTube channel.
