New details from Antioch High School shooting investigation reveal disturbing essay written by Solomon Henderson, 17, accused of killing 16-year-old Jocelyn Corea in cafeteria attack ·Josselin Corea Escalante. In the details of the manifesto, Henderson cited conservative commentator Candace Owens as one of his major influences while expressing anti-Black and anti-Semitic views. The texts obtained by NewsChannel 5's investigation include a detailed layout of the school, photos of the school's handguns, ammunition and lockpicks. Henderson also shared plans to livestream the attack, which he planned to do from the cafeteria. The manifesto was linked to social media accounts reported to belong to Henderson and the material was posted before the shooting. Henderson's writings reveal a deep sense of racial self-hatred, saying he was “ashamed of being black.” He also cited propaganda from the Gentile Defense League, a neo-Nazi group that visited Nashville last summer. The writings include anti-Semitic remarks and links to manifestos of other mass shooters. Henderson surprisingly admitted that conservative black commentator Owens was his biggest influence. “Candace Owens has had the most important impact on me every time she speaks,” he wrote. Known for his polarizing views on race and culture, Owens, a former Nashville resident, has been criticized for making controversial statements on systemic racism and other social issues. Henderson's writing also reveals his struggles with mental health and isolation. In one article, he described himself as “painful” and struggling with suicidal thoughts. “I want to kill myself. I just can't take it anymore. I am a worthless inferior and a living disgrace,” he wrote, adding that he was “split” every day. Despite his despair, Henderson clarified that he did not consider himself a victim of bullying but expressed disdain for the school environment. “Schools are day care centres,” he wrote. “We are taught to wake up early, shut up, sit for long periods of time, do a task you hate, and then repeat.” Henderson's book also references the 2023 Covenant School shooting, in which a gunman killed six people, Among them were three children at a private school in Nashville. He included a photo of the shooter in his manifesto, praised other mass shooters and even linked to a guide on how to carry out such an attack.
