Actress Tika Sumpter is one of the latest celebrities to step up to the rescue in an effort to extend a helping hand to families affected by Los Angeles' devastating wildfires. On Friday, the 44-year-old star took to social media to share that she was donating baby products to families in need. Sumpter, who has an 8-year-old daughter with husband Nicholas James, explained that she kept baby items over the years because she believed she would get another one to use them. While this may not be the ideal use for these items that Sumpter had planned, she seems to prefer this route. “Here are things from our own personal baby gear that I've been keeping for so long that I thought I would need them again one day,” Sumpter shared on her Instagram Story. “But it's some really good stuff and I just want to give it to someone who really needs it right now.” Earlier in the day, Sumpter shared a photo on her Instagram account of a room filled with babies Cars, baby clothes and bottles. , car seats, toys and other items. “We hope we can be of service to those who have lost everything and need a little hope and care,” she wrote in the post's caption, highlighting her efforts to be a kind soul during a tragic time for Los Angeles residents. Still, Sumpter also shared her own experience with wildfires and described the fear she felt when she landed in Los Angeles under catastrophic conditions. “I sit here right now looking at the sky over Los Angeles,” she wrote, adding, “There is nothing of value to me that is worth my life, or the life of my daughter or my husband.” Like this: Like Loading… Discover more from Baller Alert Subscribe to have the latest posts delivered to your email.
