Surrounded by rose petals and candlelight, O'Neale made a proposal that surprised Hurd and raised a piece of red velvet cake with the question: “Would you marry me?” written on the plate. “I was really excited because I knew Paige didn’t expect it,” O'Neale shared with People. Phoenix Sun shared that he had planned this special moment for some time. Even though the trip delayed his original plan, the proposal was put forward “on-time”. Hurd expressed surprise at the proposal. “I definitely don't know,” she told the media. “I'm on the moon, so happy.” Their love story begins with Hurd insisting on not dating, only meeting O'Neal while she's “fasting and walking with God.” From there, their connection thrives. O'Neale, who has long been a fan of Hurd's performances, even shared their future. “Royce is the most thoughtful, down-to-earth, gentle man I've ever known,” Hurd said. “I know I want to marry Paige and spend the rest of my life with her.” The couple hasn't announced their wedding plans yet.
