San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was hospitalized earlier this week after a medical incident at a restaurant, but he is now home and doing a good job. Although no specific reason has been disclosed, officials said it was a life-threatening issue, and sources told TMZ that Popovich was on alert when entering the ambulance. This marks Popovich's second health fear in recent months. Back in November, the Spurs announced he had suffered a minor stroke, which led him to stay away from coaching duties for the rest of the season. In February, Popovich confirmed that he would not return to the bench this season, but said he focused on recovery and hoped that there would be rewards in the future. “I will continue to focus on my health and hope I can return to coaching in the future,” Popovich said in a statement at the time. He signed a five-year extension with the team in 2023, but his long-term future remains uncertain as he prioritizes his health.
