As major companies like Meta, Walmart, and Target continue to roll back their DEI initiatives, several others are making a strong commitment to diversity. Last week, the company doubled down on its commitment after Donald Trump took office. Genie CEO Tarang Amin said in an interview: “There is nothing wrong with being Richard, Rick or Dick, but we want to make it clear that 'let's give others Man a chance' as we've seen in our own business.” CNN. Another brand of Ben & Jerry's is Ben & Jerry's. The ice cream staple shared a video that makes it clear they are “more than just ice cream” and will continue to “advocate for progressive social change.” Costco has received support and massive “buy-in” after refusing to give in to the Trump administration's anti-DEI demands, despite rivals' bold rollback of DEI measures. “Our commitment to inclusivity … does not and does not include quotas or systematic favoritism, nor is it meant to compromise merit,” said Tony E. James, chairman of Costco's board of directors. As many companies in the country re-examine DEI and decide that inclusivity is no longer a priority, we must highlight and support those who want to support our communities, employees, and shoppers across all industries. As of now, several other companies remain Pro-Dei, including TJ Maxx, Macy's, Nordstrom, Walgreens, Ulta, Old Navy, Kroger and Dollar Tree.
