A hotel waiter has been arrested in Argentina for allegedly supplying cocaine to former One Direction star Liam Payne in the hours before his death in October. Braian Paiz, an employee at the Hotel Casa Sur in Buenos Aires, was arrested on Friday and accused of providing drugs to Payne on multiple occasions, including on the day of his death. Prosecutors said Paiz provided cocaine to Payne twice on Oct. 14 and again on the morning of Oct. 16. Surveillance video reportedly shows Paiz visiting Payne's room for several hours and Payne asking for cash from the front desk while Paiz was present. Although Pez admitted to providing drugs to Payne, he denied receiving payment, claiming he provided the drugs to spend time with Payne. However, Judge Laura Bruniard ruled that the evidence showed there was a money transaction. Paiz and another hotel employee, Ezequiel Pereyra, were both held in pretrial detention.
