De'arra Taylor and Ken Walker were once hailed as a popular power couple, but since their split in 2021, the pair have been embroiled in legal troubles over their finances. On Wednesday, Taylor formally filed a lawsuit against Walker, accusing him of embezzlement and theft. According to court documents, the conflict dates back to their breakup, which stemmed from cheating allegations against Walker. During their relationship, the two built a brand that reportedly earned them over $1 million. Taylor claims things haven't been going well with their income split since the breakup. She claims the two have agreed to keep their joint YouTube channel active, maintain a business account, and pay $80,000 in operating expenses. Taylor said she continued to add funds to the account to keep it in good standing despite their separation. In addition, Taylor said they agreed to split the repayment costs of a $40,000 loan used to purchase the truck. However, she claims she eventually paid off the entire loan herself. The situation allegedly escalated when Taylor discovered that business accounts used to house their mutual funds had been emptied within a year. In response to the lawsuit, Walker admitted to withdrawing funds from the account and said it was for “medical expenses.” However, Taylor disputed his explanation, claiming the timing of the withdrawals was inconsistent with the fees claimed. Taylor's concerns were heightened when she revealed she and Walker had obtained $200,000 from the sale of shared property, which raised further questions about the missing funds. Walker has denied the allegations, insisting the matter was resolved “several years ago.” He also claimed to have text messages proving his innocence.
