Supporters and donors of Donald Trump who want to get up close and personal with him during his inauguration celebrations have to pay a hefty price tag. One of the events the Trump transition team is organizing is an interfaith prayer service to be held the day before the Jan. 20 inauguration, offering participants the opportunity to worship with Trump and his wife, Melania. However, only those who donate at least $100,000 or raise $200,000 to the inaugural event will receive tickets. Axios earlier reported a prospectus detailing the service and other exclusives, including a “Cabinet reception” and “candlelight dinner” with Trump and Melania. Senior donors who give $1 million or raise $2 million can receive six tickets to all inaugural events. The transition team has not yet confirmed details about the ceremony, including the location or participants. In 2017, Trump attended a prayer service at St. John's Episcopal Church. The historic site later gained notoriety after Trump sparked the ire of Episcopalian clergy when he posed with a Bible at a 2020 Black Lives Matter protest. Washington National Cathedral, which hosted Trump's 2017 interfaith service, plans a “Service to the Nation” on Jan. 21 that emphasizes unity regardless of the election outcome. Meanwhile, evangelical musician Sean Feucht announced a planned liturgy for a “revival after 25 years,” initially claiming it would be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. However, the church refused permission, prompting Feucht to describe the logistical challenges as a “war.” He later clarified that the location of the event was still “to be determined.” Trump's team has not confirmed whether he attended any of those events.
