Professional Football Hall of Fame member Shannon Sharpe faces a $50 million civil lawsuit filed in a Nevada court by a woman identified as “Jane Doe”. The 13-page complaint outlines the allegations, which include emotional distress, assault and unauthorized private moment records. According to the document, the woman and Sharp were involved in a relationship that lasted for nearly two years. The complaint states that while the relationship began to reach consensus, it became tense later. A key claim in the lawsuit is that Sharp allegedly recorded moments of intimacy without the knowledge of the woman and shared them without her consent. The plaintiff also pointed to a separate incident involving a live broadcast event that she did not participate, but reportedly helped her decide to start to stay away from the relationship decision. The lawsuit has since claimed Sharp continues to contact her, despite her efforts to get out of the lawsuit. The woman also outlined two incidents – October 2024 and January 2025 – the woman said her boundaries were not respected. Sharpe has not yet publicly responded to these claims. At present, the case is a civil matter and no criminal charges have been filed. The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Micah Nash and Tony Buzbee. Buzbee is known for handling high-profile cases, including representing women in lawsuits against NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson, and the recent civil action for individuals executing Sean Diddy’s comb against music.
