Reyes testified that while driving, Saldivar decided to postpone the shooting and asked to get off at the North Star Mall. But on some lights on McCullough Avenue, things got violent. She said McIntyre pulled a gun on Saldivar and asked for his backpack. When Saldivar refused, the group began physically attacking him. Saldivar was eventually driven out of the car but grabbed the hood. Reyes said McIntyre then pointed the gun at her and ordered her to drive him down. When she couldn't do it, she said he leaned over from the car and drove a fatal shooting outside a chick. “He fired.” After the shooting, Reyes said they drove away. She claimed Bell congratulated Tay-K, saying, “You grabbed the first body” and gave him five. She also testified that Tay-K and Bell fled Saldivar's backpack. Reyes admitted she did not go to authorities immediately because Tay-K allegedly threatened the lives of her and her family. In exchange for her testimony, Reyes accepted a plea agreement to tamper with the evidence. She faces 10 years of probation and has not yet been sentenced. Tay-K has served for 55 years for his role in his separate murder case in 2016 and faces a life without parole if convicted in the Saldivar case. The trial will continue this week.
