Nicki Minaj's “Big Foot” may have rocked hip-hop, but it's one of the worst songs of 2024, Variety reports. “Big Foot,” released in January 2024, is Minaj's take on Megan Thee Stallion's “Hiss,” which was allegedly a tribute to Minaj's husband Kenneth Pay. Ty fired shots that included references to his status as a registered sex offender, among other jabs. This provocation inspires Mina to retaliate, in the form of a vitriolic insult in Bigfoot. Variety describes the song as a “five-minute declaration of crisis.” “Minaj is no stranger to problematic contributions to rap music, but this is hard for anyone to listen to and seems far removed from a seasoned professional,” the outlet wrote. Megan and Minaj began working together after the release of their 2019 collaboration “Hot Girl Summer.” Their influence was incorporated into a growing number of songs with Minaj, which ultimately ended in a feud. Despite their public complaints, Meghan expressed confusion about the feud in a September 2024 interview with Billboard . “To this day I still don't know what the problem was,” she said. However, the 42-year-old hinted at her own displeasure, revealing Meghan forced Minaj to drink while she was trying to conceive a child with Patty. Still, the serious accusations in “Bigfoot” go far beyond that. In her diss song, Minaj accused Meghan of sleeping with her late mother's partner and exchanging sexual favors with producers to further her music career. Perhaps most controversially, Minaj suggested Meghan fabricated a shooting involving Tory Lanez, a crime that ultimately led to Lanez being sentenced to ten years in prison. Despite Minaj's lyricism, fans mostly sided with Megan in the rap battle, and apparently, so did Variety .
