Donald Trump has revoked Secret Service protection for former President Joe Biden's children. On Monday, Trump announced that he was providing protection for Biden’s son Hunter Biden, “effective immediately.” He also said Hunter’s sister Ashley Biden will lose her Secret Service details. Trump criticized the extensive protections of Bidens, saying: “Hunter Biden has protected secret services for a long time, all of which are paid by U.S. taxpayers. He added that Ashley Biden, who has 13 agents, will also “delete the list.” Secret Service Communications Director Anthony Guglielmi confirmed the decision and said: “The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with protective details and the White House to ensure that the dispatch of the president is secured as soon as possible. Biden had previously extended protection for his adult children to July through executive orders. There is a prerequisite for the president to provide protection to his children before leaving the office. For example, Trump authorized six months of additional protection for adult children after the presidency ended in 2021. It is reported that Trump's children's travel costs more than $140,000 in the first month of his tenure.
