Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday to eliminate seven federal agencies to target organizations related to the media, libraries, museums and homeless people. The order requires the “elimination of these entities to the greatest extent consistent with applicable law” and reduce its functions and personnel. The agent head must confirm compliance with the management and budget office within 7 days. The order affects the US global media organizations – Voice American (VOA) (VOA), the Smithsonian Woodrow Wilson International Scholar Center, and the Museum and Library Services Academy that supports institutions across the country. The U.S. Inter-Homeless Commission, Federal Mediation and Mediation Services, Community Development Financial Institutions Fund and Minority Business Development Bureau were also affected. Despite questions about the VOA's future, Trump chose former Arizona governor candidate Kari Lake to lead it. At the conservative political action conference, she promised that VOA would not become “Trump TV.” But the president did not directly appoint the VOA's head—Trump's nominee, conservative activist L. Brent Bozell III, must be confirmed by the Senate before choosing the Lake. Meanwhile, Elon Musk was eavesdropped to simplify government spending, but federal judges in Maryland and Northern California prevented mass layoffs. The White House promised to appeal the rulings that require the resumption of trial administration employees.
