Amazon delivery driver arrested for alleged sexual assault on women and minors

Amazon delivery driver Fernando Barreto-Hernandez faces serious charges of beating a minor and a woman in a separate incident while on duty. The Glendale Police Department (GPD) arrested a minor on December 24, 2024, after attacking a minor in Los Angeles. He was re-arrested during a court appearance on February 21, this time for a sexual assault on a woman in Glendale on January 21. Barreto-Hernandez is charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes, including Lewd or Lewd or Lascivious Active, with children under the age of 14 and sexually violated their will. According to CBS News Los Angeles, he pleaded not guilty to him. Police confirms that Barreto-Hernandez has worked on Amazon, Amazon Flex and FedEx. Although he was employed by an independent third-party service provider, Amazon clarified that the delivery driver was not directly hired by the company. The Glendale Police Department now urges any potential victim to step up and report the incident to its attack department. Barreto-Hernandez is currently in Bond Bond, and Amazon has not commented on the case.
