Duane “Keefe d” Davis is the only man to kill rap star Tupac Shakur in 1996, and his trial is postponed until next year. The high-profile Davis defense team has filed a motion to talk to witnesses related to the nearly 30-year-old case. Prosecutors insisted that Davis orchestrated the drive-in shooting, the only survivor who fired in a car, was a fatal shooting. Although Davis had previously admitted to being on the scene, his legal team now argued that he wasn't even in Las Vegas when Shakur was killed. Davis himself publicly admitted that a few days after sitting in Shakur's car and firing the fire, the rapper succumbed to his injuries. His death over the years has been linked to his beef with the infamous big beef, which he was killed in 1997. However, Davis suggests that Shakur's hatred with gang members in Los Angeles killed him. Shortly before being shot, Shakur fought Cripp Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson at the Las Vegas Casino. He is believed to be the thief who fired a deadly shooting. He was murdered in 1998. Davis pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and the long-awaited case will continue in the coming years in the new trial date on February 9, 2026.
