Beloved Jodeci frontman DeVante Swing has been fired from one of Diddy's many lawsuits. On January 15, alleged victim Liza Gardner filed a voluntary pink slip against Swing in a lawsuit she filed last year, accusing him of “assisting” Diddy in the alleged 1990 rape of 16 Gardner, age. The dismissal was made without prejudice, making it possible that Gardner initially claimed that Swing, who was in his early 20s at the time, was present during the attack. “Unknown to Ms. Gardner at the time, defendant Swing was in the room at the time of the attack,” the initial legal filing reads. “The incident occurred and no steps were taken to prevent this abusive behavior from occurring.” A Witnesses also testified that Swing was “leaning against a wall or furniture or something and watching whatever Puffy was doing.” Gardner accused Swain of trafficking her and forcing her across state lines under false pretenses, supplying her with alcohol and marijuana and allegedly selling her to the “Bad Boy” founder. At the time, Jodesi was signed to Uptown Records. Before starting her own company, Didi worked as an intern and talent director for the brand. Gardner's case came to light following accusations from Diddy's ex-girlfriend Cassie, who filed a lawsuit accusing him of sex trafficking and sexual assault. Gardner claimed that Diddy and singer Aaron Hall took turns assaulting her after meeting her at MCA Records. Diddy has denied all the accusations, calling them “fabricated accusations” intended for financial gain. This isn't the only lawsuit mentioning Swing's name. Another case filed by Joie Dickerson-Neal claims Diddy sexually assaulted her in 1991 and recorded the act. Dixon-Neal said in her filing that Swing told her he had seen a sex tape of her and the disgraced hip-hop icon.
